Today, we would like to introduce Hong Kong Maritime Museum, which show Hong Kong’s maritime heritage in the past, present and future from different point of view. Hong Kong Maritime Museum is a non-profit educational institution funded by the international shipping community and the government in Hong Kong. It is a special museum because of it’s location. HKMM is located at Central Pier 8, Hong Kong.

We can understand how China, Asia and the West have developed boats, ships, maritime exploration, trade and naval warfare by the document that presents in the museum.  In the museum, you can also find there are many document showing the importance of shipping to Hong Kong’s economy. And the museum try to use the interactive displays o attract visitors.

Pottinger Street is a street in Central, Hong Kong. It is also better known as the Stone Slabs Street by the locals, after the granite stone steps which are a rarity nowadays in Hong Kong. The street was named after Henry Pottinger, the first Governor of Hong Kong.

There are many old shops and stalls in Pottinger Street. Therefore, it has attracted some filmmakers to take place for films and music videos there such as “Infernal Afffairs”. Moreover, many photographers also enjoy coming to take pictures here.

Nowadays, there are still some old shops which retain metal housing features of the past in Pottinger Street. Visitors can see some little green house on the street with full of old Hong Kong style.

The shops of Pottinger Street are mainly selling used books, boutiques, specialty toys, clothing and accessories. Most importantly, the price of these goods are cheap but good quality!

砵典乍街是香港島其中一條與荷李活道連接的街道，位於香港島中環。街道因為香港政府在 1858 年將此街命名為砵甸乍街以紀念第一任香港總督砵甸乍而得來。而其中皇后大道中至荷李活道一段由於頗為陡直，故用石塊舖蓋路面，並設計成一塊凹下一塊凸起，既方便行人上落，又方便雨水沿兩旁瀉走，因此人們習慣叫它做「石板街」。街上有無數售賣成衣、雜貨、玩具、飾物等商鋪。而最重要的是，石板街所售賣之貨品都價廉物美！

砵甸乍街花別具老香港風味，而當中亦有少數電視劇及電影更到石板街取景，可見那兒的確是一個值得作為拍攝練習的地方。

Tai Chiong Bakery is a very traditional Hong Kong-style bakery shop. The style of its decoration is very classic too. This bakery shop is very well-known because the former Governor of Hong Kong, Christopher Francis Patten was one of its customer.

People usually go there during happy hours, which is between 2-8pm. It's because most of the bars have special offers during that period. Like the one we go tonight, we ordered a 'Sweet rose', 'Strawberry................ And these cost around $200 only, that means each glass of crocktail costs 6x-7x.

通常人們都是在歡樂時光的時段，即下午2時至8時來，因為部分的酒吧都有歡樂時光的優惠。 就像我們今晚去的酒吧，3個人叫了一杯'sweet rose' ................都是大約二百元，即每杯雞尾酒約6x-8x元。

However,one point to note is because the major customers are foreigners, most of the waiters speak English and most of the menus are in English.
