SPD4459 | The Expendables| Central and Western Distrist@ 香港茶具文物館 Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware

香港茶具文物館( Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware)

Built in the 1840s, Flagstaff House is an elegant reminder of Hong Kong’s colonial heritage. Formerly the office and residence of the commander of the British Forces in Hong Kong, it is one of the oldest examples of Greek Revival architecture in the city.

Flagstaff House was converted into the Museum of Tea Ware in 1984 with a new wing, the K.S. Lo Gallery, added in 1995. Alongside its exhibitions, the museum holds regular demonstrations, tea gatherings and lecture programmes to promote ceramic art and China’s enduring tea drinking culture

In "The root of Xinhai Revolution" as the theme of the Pak Tsz Lane Park, located in Pak Tsz Lane that is the junction of Central Aberdeen Street and Gage Street. Yeung Ku-wan created Furen literary societies there. The key members of Furen literary societies joined the Hong Kong Revive China Society later. Therefore, Pak Tsz Lane is considered as the root of the Xinhai revolution. The park shows the tenets of the Furen Literary Society and revolutionary history, etc., to show the relationship between Hong Kong and the Xinhai Revolution.SPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and Western

“辛亥革命之源”為題的百子里公園,位於百子里是中環結志街與三家里的一條掘頭。革命烈士楊衢雲於百子里創建輔仁文社。而輔仁文社的主要成員期後也參加了香港興中會。因此,百子里被認為是辛亥革命開始的根源。公園展示了《輔仁文社序》和革命歷史等的史料,藉此展現香港與辛亥革命的關係。SPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and Western

The park is divided into three zones. Visitors can use Gage Street’s entrance enter the "the root of revolutionary display area". In the entrance, there is a wooden gazebo pillars that is engraved with the tenets of the Furen Literary Society. Also, An English written social classes was engraved on the ground to perform Furen literary societies’s effort of carry forward the patriotic spirit.SPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and Western

SPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and Western

The most meaningful part in the park is the Xinhai revolutionary history exhibition on the right of the park. It shows the revolutionary history from 1895 to 1903, especially the historical information about Furen literary societies. For example, It mentions Yeung Ku-wan and other key member established literary societies on 1892. Thereafter the literary society joined the Hong Kong Revive China Society and Sun Yat-sen deploy Guangzhou Uprising in 1895. In 1900, the plan of Huizhou uprising was fail. The identity of Yeung Ku-wan was exposed. In 1903, the 3rd plan in Guangzhou also failed. Therefore, Furen iterary societies gradually fade out the revolutionary.SPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and WesternSPD4459 Central and Western

The Cenotaph was unveiled on 24 May 1923 by the then Governor Sir Edward Stubbs. It is the earliest memorial formally constructed to commemorate the dead of the First World War in Hong Kong.SPD4459 The Expendables
The Cenotaph was initially inscribed with the words “The Glorious Dead” and the years of the First World War, i.e. “1914-1918”. The years “1939-1945” were subsequently added to honour victims of the Second World War. In the 1980s, eight Chinese characters “英魂不朽 浩氣長存” ( meaning “May their martyred souls be immortal, and their noble spirits endure”) were carved on one side of the Cenotaph corresponding to the inscription “The Glorious Dead” to make it clear that the Cenotaph commemorates all who fell, especially those who fell in the defence of Hong Kong. Commemorative activities are still held by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and other relevant associations at the Cenotaph every year.In addition, The Cenotaph is one of the Declared Monuments in Hong Kong. SPD4459 The Expendables SPD4459 The Expendables
